Last week was a little rough for some of us. I hope this week was better. Tell me in the comments how you did.
Don’t forget, we have just ONE week left of round 3. There will not be a Call For Miles next Sunday. It will come next Tuesday instead. That means that this coming week, you have two extra days to meet your goal.
Round 4 will start next Wednesday (January 1). Let your friends know and invite them to play along!
I hope everyone is ready for Christmas. From my house to yours:
Also, congrats to Stacy who got engaged this week!
15 miles this week! 100 mile goal complete!!! WOOHOO!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteBack at the beginning of the year I had made the goal to walk 400 miles this year. By the halfway point at the end of June I had only done 150. I gave up and decided to just get 200 miles for the rest of the year. Because of your help (and keeping me accountable every week!), I'm now just 13 miles shy of the original 400 mile goal!!! I can't wait to walk that final mile. :D
Count me in for the next round.
Wow Timber, that is awesome- what an inspiring post. 27 for me this week. I don't think that even with 2 extra days I'll meet my goal, but I'll keep plugging away. Thanks for the shout out Amanda!
ReplyDeleteHey Amanda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us all going on this. I just copied your motivational poster for A.J., who's trying also : )
I spent some time pondering this a.m. on the 13th day of Christmas. Thanks for recommending the book. I went back through my exercise calendar and need to change my miles. Sorry I'm such a scribbler, I can't read own #s sometimes. Thanks for being long-suffering with me. Week 11 should have been 12 instead of 6, so my total should be 213 at the end of week 11 (instead of 207 posted now). I did 16 miles for week 12, so I'm now at 229.
The gap between 229 and my original goal of 312 (it was 1 hr/day, 6x/week) is more than I can make up this week , but I'm trying to look with HOPE (I decided that is my 13th day of Christmas/New Year 2013 word). Though I didn't get to that goal, I have positives: I kept at it through the a couple rounds, despite some less than hopeful times and a few injuries; I added in more needed yoga/stretching; earlier in the year I added in more sleep, though I slacked I'm more aware of how I feel/get headaches without enough... and HOPE to do better again; I finished the first workout of week 4 in the Couch to 5 K, and HOPE--with lengthening it out a bit--to be able to make it to the end this time without knee pain; finally, I'm doing a week long 'cleanse' with my NH sis-in-law, and HOPE to begin 2013 better and healthier than fall slacking!!
Thanks for listening!! See you tonight! Can't wait : )
and TIMBER...what a motivating story. Way to go!
