Round TWO!

Untitled-1

With one week left in our March through June challenge, it’s time to start thinking about Round TWO! We’ll follow the same pattern as we did in round one. So! If you’ve done it before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, it’s easy! Join us!

Round TWO of our 100 Mile Challenge will start on Sunday, July 1 and end on Sunday, September 30.

For Round TWO, I am hoping to do a weekly spotlight of a participant. If you are interested in being highlighted (or if you definitely don’t want to), let me know!

Now, the nitty-gritty:

Here’s how it works:

· Each challenge runs for three months and you decide what your goal is. I personally aim for 100 miles in the three months, but we had some aim higher (400!) and some that aim lower. Any number is okay! Just make sure to push yourself.

· Each mile you walk or run equals a mile in the challenge.

· Every 15 minutes you spend doing other exercise (biking, yoga, tennis, swimming, etc) counts as one mile in the challenge

· There are NO half miles - push yourself to go that extra half mile or another seven minutes and count it as a mile. You can do it!

Each week (on Saturday afternoon), I will put out a call for miles and you will report in the comments how many miles you did that week. (No, you don’t have to be a blogger to participate – you can comment anonymously, just make sure to leave your name!) I will add your name and miles to the sidebar. Be sure to check back to make sure that my math is correct!

Please try to leave your miles Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I understand that things come up but it’s easier for me if most of the comments are left with in a day or two.

Here are some FAQ’s.

As always, feel free to contact me (email on sidebar) if you have any questions.

Anyone is invited to participate so invite your friends! Share it on Facebook. Email your grandma. :)

Leave a comment and let me know if you are interested in joining in! It’s great motivation to get moving, I promise!

  2. so...I totally dropped out on round 1. We moved to a new house and had all sorts of crazy going on.
Sign me up for round 2 though, we've got sanity in our future and I'll stick with it this time :)

  3. Well I didn't make my goal for round 1 but I may as well keep going. It's good to have a reason to exercise. Sign me up!

  4. I'd like to try again. I stopped getting on the computer once school let out and just haven't been tracking all my running (around). My son & I are going to train for a small triathlon end of August so this should be easier to pay attention to this time around. Thanks for all your motivation and work!

  5. (Heather H. reporting in!): I am totally in for round 2! And this time I am going to push myself to that 200 mile mark! This kept me honest and gave me something to work for...I need that. I'm excited to take my measurements on Sunday and see where they're at!
