Final Call for Miles | Round 3

Today is the last day of 2012, which means today is the last day of round 3 in this 100 Mile Challenge!

Congrats on making it to the end. It is so exciting for me to see people making their goals. It is equally exciting for me to see people that are continuing to try and not giving up. If you finished, feel free to take a badge (just right click and save):

Round 4 | Begins Jan. 1



January 1 is just around the corner! I can’t believe that 2012 is coming to an end.

If you have “exercise” as a New Year’s Resolution, then this is the perfect challenge for you. This challenge will help you stay motivated to move.

Here’s how it works:

·        Each challenge runs for three months (Next up: Jan. 1-Mar. 31) 
  •            Each mile you walk or run equals a mile in the challenge
  •           Every 15 minutes of other exercise equals one mile(biking, yoga, tennis, swimming, etc)
  •           There are NO half miles - push yourself to go that extra half mile or another seven minutes and count it as a mile. You can do it!

Each week, I will put out a call for miles and you will report how many miles you did that week.  I will add your name and miles to the sidebar.  Be sure to check back to make sure that my math is correct! Each week, I also hope to post some motivation - something to make us want to move, a favorite healthy recipe, etc.  Feel free to contact me (batnt99 at gmail.com) if you would like to do a guest post.

Call for Miles | Week 12

Last week was a little rough for some of us. I hope this week was better. Tell me in the comments how you did.

Don’t forget, we have just ONE week left of round 3. There will not be a Call For Miles next Sunday. It will come next Tuesday instead. That means that this coming week, you have two extra days to meet your goal. 

Round 4 will start next Wednesday (January 1). Let your friends know and invite them to play along!

Call for Miles | Week 11

I can’t believe that we are almost to the end of round 3! How was your week? 

I did not do as well as I hoped, but I believe that I can catch up. Maybe if I do it early, it will go better.

When do you exercise?

Also, please, please check my math! I realized this week that I was off on one persons total by eleven miles. 11 miles! That’s a lot so please check for me now and then.

Call For Miles | Week 10

We have just over 3 weeks left in this round. Today, I wanted to give up on my goal. I had a bad week (exercise-wise). Then, while surfing the ‘net tonight, I saw this:

I realized that, while I may need to adjust my goal, I simply can not give up on it. Because giving up on it, means giving up on me.

So, in the next 21 days, my goal is 30 miles (2 miles a day, 5 days a week) which will be a total of 81. I’m going to round it down to 80…just to make it easy.

Call for Miles | Week 9

Motivation

How was your week? I hope it was good. I hope you were able to get all the things done that you wanted to do. And, I hope you were able to get some good sweat in.

I was on some medication this week that made me so dizzy and nauseus that I didn’t do much for about three days. I was still able to get a few workouts in but I am feeling like I might not reach my goal.
